Discovering Transcendental Meditation was a revelation for me. Aside from it delivering all the promised physical and emotional benefits, the actual experience of transcending provided me with an entirely unique experience, which appealed to the side of me that likes adventure and mystery.
The zone that one slides into is a mysterious, yet deeply beautiful place where one feels a joyful fluttering of the heart as one transcends subtler levels of awareness while navigating through what I can only describe as an abstract realm. In this place which I believe some scientists now refer to as the unified field, theres a complete connectedness. You feel alert yet calm, engaged but not with anything in particular, cocooned but part of life. It feels like a gift for your nervous system. The benefits from spending time in this realm twice daily start to cascade over time, creating a wave of positivity in ones life.
I went to learn a stress reducing technique, which it is, but I also discovered a much richer, deeper, cosmic well of experience in the process. I go to that well twice a day now and take enormous pleasure in doing so.
