Forty thousand Irish people have learned Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique over the past 50 years. They are more relaxed, clear headed, healthier, energetic, focused and loving as a result. Although they take time out of their busy schedules to practise the technique for 20 minutes twice daily, they feel the benefit in terms of improved mental and physical health, greater interest in life, work, family and friends and interacting with people in a more meaningful way.
This supremely profound yet simple technique is what we teach at our centre.

The Transcendental Meditation technique is a simple, natural procedure to gain deep rest— and contact that inner reservoir of creativity, energy and intelligence—to gain its support in all you do and to enrich your life day by day.
Everyone can learn to practice the Transcendental Meditation technique successfully. It's easy and enjoyable—just 20 minutes twice a day sitting comfortably with the eyes closed. It requires no effort or concentration, no special skills or change of lifestyle. You don't even have to believe that it works! Meditate regularly twice a day and you'll get results.

Restful Alertness
During the practice of the Transcendental Meditation technique, the mind and body settle down to experience a unique state of restful alertness. As the mind becomes more silent, the body becomes deeply relaxed. At the most settled state of awareness, the mind transcends all mental activity to experience the simplest form of awareness, Transcendental Consciousness.
Scientific research has shown that the experience of Transcendental Consciousness is correlated with greater creativity, improved learning, higher IQ, better grades, higher moral reasoning, increased brainwave coherence, and improved neurological functioning of the body.
The Transcendental Meditation technique is a practical, proven procedure for developing more energy, creativity, and intelligence—for awakening the unlimited potential of your mind and body and enjoying greater health, happiness, and success in life.

The Transcendental Meditation technique is taught in a standard seven-step course, which includes public lectures, private instruction and group seminars. At each step of instruction, new knowledge is presented to provide a clear understanding of your growing experience.

Introductory Lectures
The seven-step course includes two lectures describing the benefits and how the technique works, a short interview, and four days of instruction. The first three steps can be taken at any time and are free of charge.

Step 1: Introductory Lecture
A vision of all possibilities through the Transcendental Meditation program (1 hour)

Step 2: Preparatory Lecture
The mechanics and origin of the Transcendental Meditation technique (1 hour)

Step 3: Personal Interview
Interview with a qualified teacher of the Transcendental Meditation
programme right after the Preparatory Lecture (10-15 minutes)

The last four steps are always taken on four consecutive days,
and include a course fee.

Step 4: Personal Instruction
Learning the Transcendental Meditation technique (1-2 hours)

Step 5: First Day of Checking
Verifying the correctness of the practice and further instruction (1-2 hours)

Step 6: Second Day of Checking
Understanding the mechanics of the Transcendental Meditation technique from personal experiences (1-2 hours)

Step 7: Third Day of Checking
Understanding the mechanics of the development of higher states of consciousness (1-2 hours)

 

Follow-Up Programme
Once you complete the seven-step course, you'll be invited to attend a group follow-up meeting, held about two weeks later. This meeting allows the teacher to check your meditation, provide additional knowledge based on your daily practice, and to answer any questions you may have. After completing the initial course of instruction there will be a series of checking sessions over the following months to make sure that the maximum benefit is being gained from the practice.
